In the first quarter of 2021, the wellness category on Android saw significant user activity in France. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a snapshot of how various wellness apps performed during this period.

Mindfulness with Petit BamBou, a product of FeelVeryBien SAS, showed consistency in weekly active users, peaking at around 119K in mid-March before ending the quarter at approximately 106K. Downloads for the app reached their zenith at the beginning of February with over 20K but saw a decline towards the end of March, closing at around 7K.

Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax by Calm.com, Inc., experienced a surge in downloads in mid-January, reaching over 36K, followed by a gradual decrease to about 9K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users peaked at approximately 52K in late January and saw a slight decrease to around 42K by the end of the quarter.

RespiRelax+ from THERMES D'ALLEVARD, despite not generating revenue, maintained a strong user base with active users climbing from around 88K to over 105K in late March. Downloads showed an upward trend in late March, hitting approximately 7K.

Meditopia, hailing from Turkey, displayed fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, ending with around $2.5K in the final week. Its downloads saw a high point of over 7K in early February, and weekly active users experienced a slight increase from around 32K at the end of December to nearly 23K by the close of March.

Lastly, Headspace: Sleep & Meditation by Headspace for Meditation, Mindfulness and Sleep, saw its revenue grow to a high of $7.5K in late January, followed by a stabilization at around $5.7K by the end of March. Downloads had a notable peak at over 8K in mid-March, while weekly active users hovered around the mid-20K range throughout the quarter.
